The whole class participates in a ten-minute reading session every Wednesday. They each choose a book that interests them and immerse themselves in the sea of knowledge together.

During the summer vacation of 2024, six students arrived in Taiwan from the United States and Canada. These kind volunteers brought interesting and exciting camp activities to the children of Hosin Elementary School.

2024年暑假期間，六名來自美國和加拿大的學生抵達台灣。這些熱心的志工為合興國小的孩子們帶來了有趣且令人興奮的營隊活動。

The final day of the 2024 English Summer Camp is a special one to remember and cherish. Here the children are happily showing off the results of what they have learned. They now have a better understanding of the SDGs and why they are important. 

2024年英語夏令營的最後一天是一個值得回憶與珍惜的特別日子。孩子們開心地展示他們所學的成果。現在，他們對聯合國永續發展目標 (SDGs) 有了更深入的了解，並明白其重要性。

The art teacher is diligent in explaining all the characteristics and details of the bird. She guides the students in drawing the front and back of the bird. They listen carefully and after the teacher is finished, they begin composing their pictures on drawing paper.

美術老師認真地講解這隻鳥的所有特徵和細節。她引導學生們繪畫鳥的正面和背面。學生們仔細聆聽，老師講解完後，他們便開始在畫紙上構圖繪畫。

During morning reading time, students are encouraged to read the Mandarin Daily and cut out their favorite articles. They then write down their thoughts and reflections. Through this activity, students expand their vocabulary and gain new knowledge.

在早晨閱讀時間，鼓勵學生閱讀《國語日報》並剪下自己最喜歡的文章。接著，他們寫下自己的想法與反思。透過這個活動，學生們不僅擴展了詞彙量，還獲得了新的知識。

The students from Class 103 are given an introduction to the plants found on campus. They participate in a group discussion and work together to create plant artwork using real leaves.

103班的學生們接受了校園植物的介紹。他們參加了小組討論，並共同合作，使用真葉子創作植物藝術作品。

The tea master invited the class to sample seven different types of tea, allowing the students to see, smell, and taste each one. Their task was to use their senses to identify each of the seven varieties. Key characteristics to focus on included aroma, color, and leaf shape.

茶道老師邀請全班品嚐七種不同的茶，讓學生們觀察、聞香和品嘗每一種茶。他們的任務是運用感官辨認這七種茶的品種，重點觀察的特徵包括香氣、顏色和茶葉的形狀。

During a field trip to Hexing Temple, the guide shared the story of Mazu, who caught a bomb to save villagers. This event earned her the nickname 'Bomb Mazu.' The students listened closely to understand the significance of this temple treasure.

在參觀合興宮的校外教學中，導覽員分享了媽祖抓炸彈拯救村民的故事，這也讓她獲得了「炸彈媽祖」的稱號。學生們認真聆聽，了解這座廟宇珍寶的意義。

The end of each semester is marked by the routine cleaning. The students give their thanks and pay respects by making the classroom fresh and tidy. First they move the desks and chairs outside, and then they work together by mopping the floor.

每學期結束時，學生們都會進行例行的清掃。他們表達感謝並以整理乾淨的教室來致敬。首先，他們將桌椅搬到教室外面，接著一起合作拖地，把教室打掃乾淨。
